Curved Air ‎– Airconditioning -1970 - Art Rock, Avantgarde,  - Album, Picture Disc  (UK)

The first issue of the Airconditioning album was on a picture disc in the UK. The black side with the 'mandala' image was Side A, the light 'dynamo' image was Side B.

This picture disc was used as a subsequent image on a white cover for reissues. The first non-picture disc in the UK was on the green Warner Bros. Label; WSX 3012. The cover image was the 'dynamo' side - which had the art of the text changed to read WSX 3012 A.

"Picture disc pressed by Metronome Records of Germany, with photo-setting by Conways. Recorded at Island Studios".

This is a 180 gram vinyl LP picture disc, featuring a mandala image on side one & 'dynamo' image on reverse, both creating a 'psychedelic' visual imagery when rotating on a turntable. It was one of the very first multi-laminate mass-produced 'progressive rock music' picture discs to be produced and was released in a limited edition of 10,000 pressings.

It was issued in a clear plastic sleeve.
No timings on disc.
