Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Dick Nolan was singing for enthusiastic audiences by the age of 12. In 1958, before his twentieth birthday, he moved to Toronto where he quickly became involved in a full-time musical career. For years he was a headliner at the Horseshoe Tavern. He also played around the United States, and recorded over a dozen albums.
