Here's a Canadian Columbia pressing of Dr. Hook's 1976 compilation "Revisited," capturing the band during their transition from Shel Silverstein's satirical country-rock vehicle to mainstream pop hitmakers. This collection smartly bridges both eras, featuring early Medicine Show material like "Sylvia's Mother" and "The Cover of Rolling Stone" alongside their emerging smoother sound. The Canadian pressing is particularly noteworthy as Columbia Canada often used different mastering chains than their US counterparts, sometimes resulting in a warmer, less compressed sound that better serves Ray Sawyer's distinctive vocals and the band's laid-back groove.
