Got records sitting in a basement, a storage unit, or stacked against a wall you walk past every day? We want to see them. Here's everything you need to know about selling your collection to Retro Revolution Records.
We're Always Buying
Whether you have an old collection gathering dust, you're an avid collector looking to move some titles, or you've inherited a pile of records and don't know where to start - we're interested. We buy vinyl collections every day of the week, any size, any time between 11am and 8pm including weekends.
Unlike a local shop with a limited customer base, our store sells across all of Canada. That wider audience means we can offer genuinely competitive prices for great collections - because we know we can find the right buyer for the right record.
What We Buy
What if I only have a few records?
We buy collections of any size. Two LPs you no longer listen to, or a storage space packed floor to ceiling - we're happy to take a look. There's no minimum.
Genres
What genres are you looking for?
We're actively buying across these genres:
One thing worth knowing: hit records from the 70s and 80s sold millions of copies and are extremely common in the used market. Value depends heavily on the specific title and pressing. We'll always give you a detailed breakdown of what we're offering for each record.
What We Don't Buy
Are there records you won't purchase?
We rarely buy classical, vocal, easy listening, religious records, or older Reader's Digest box sets. If you have a large collection in these genres and still want us to take a look, call us first.
We don't buy 78s or 45s.
We're currently not buying DVDs, CDs, or Blu-rays.
Have a retro toy collection or other collectibles? Reach out - we'd love to hear about it.
The Process
How long does the buying process take?
We thoroughly examine the condition of every record before making an offer. We don't buy records that are badly scratched or have water damage.
Most of the time we can get through it in 30 minutes or less. Larger collections or busier periods may take a little longer. You're always welcome to leave your records with us and we'll call you when we're ready to make an offer - in some cases that may take a few hours.
Either way, we move efficiently and respect your time.
Getting Started
Should I make a list first, or just contact you?
If you have a list, send it over - that speeds things up. If you don't, don't worry about it. Call, text, or email us and we'll figure out the best way to evaluate what you have. You can also send photos or attachments for a quicker review before we meet up.
Condition
Does condition matter?
It matters a lot. Records must come from a non-smoking home, free of mustiness and water stains, and shouldn't be warped. Covers that are damaged, ring-worn, marked up, or covered in stickers will affect the value.
Because we sell across all of Canada, the condition of both the vinyl and the cover is critical. We need to accurately represent every item to buyers coast to coast.

Please note: We are an online business and not a walk-in local store - look for a house rather than a storefront. Give us a quick call and we'll arrange everything. We happily travel to inspect larger collections of greater value and pay top dollar for rare and obscure vinyl.
