The Story
Who Is Retro Revolution Records?
This is Roland Alexander's operation. Nearly 30 years ago he walked away from a management career in the tire industry because he kept having better conversations at a flea market table on Sunday mornings than anywhere else.
He would load up his van before sunrise, haul bins and tables into the Penhorn Mall flea market alone, work the table all day, pack it all back up and be back the next week without hesitation.
The people, the music, the hunt for something rare. That is what hooked him. In 1997 it became official.
What started at a flea market grew into an eBay PowerSeller operation shipping worldwide, then expanded onto Amazon, and eventually became what it is today: a fully independent online store, locally owned, built on word of mouth and real relationships with people who love this stuff as much as Roland does.
His son, a local Halifax business owner, has recently joined the operation. He brought a sharper online presence and a rebuilt website to match the inventory and reputation Roland has spent nearly three decades earning. It took some patience to work with a self-described stubborn old man, but he got it done.
