Tracklist Side A I Want to Be Your Property (Phil Harding 12" Mix) Side B I Want to Be Your Property (Street Latin Wolff USA Mix) – I Want to Be Your Property (Def B4 Dishonor USA Mix)

Description Released in 1988, I Want to Be Your Property was the breakout single from UK duo Blue Mercedes, blending dance-pop, funk, and club-ready production. The track reached No. 7 on the UK Singles Chart and became a staple in North American clubs, topping the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in early 1988.

Produced and remixed by Phil Harding and Ian Curnow for PWL (Pete Waterman Limited), the single features three extended mixes tailored for dancefloor impact. The “Phil Harding 12" Mix” emphasizes synth stabs and rhythmic layering, while the “Street Latin Wolff” and “Def B4 Dishonor” mixes offer alternate grooves for DJs and collectors.

Blue Mercedes—David Titlow and Duncan Millar—were known for their flamboyant style and crossover appeal, combining fashion-forward visuals with slick, radio-friendly production. This UK pressing captures the peak of late ’80s club culture and remains a sought-after 12" for fans of the genre.
