101 Strings Play The Blues is a 1958 orchestral easy listening release on the Somerset label, featuring the lush, strings-heavy arrangements the 101 Strings ensemble was known for applied to blues and Louisiana blues material. The project follows the group's signature approach of translating popular American musical styles into sweeping, accessible orchestral settings aimed at the mainstream pop market of the late 1950s.
