The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators is the 1966 debut album from the Austin, Texas band led by Roky Erickson, widely regarded as one of the earliest self-described psychedelic rock records. The album blends raw garage rock with lysergic energy and the distinctive electric jug of Tommy Hall, creating a sound that was genuinely unlike most of what was being recorded at the time. "You're Gonna Miss Me" and "Roller Coaster" are among the standout tracks.
