Al Stewart is a Scottish singer-songwriter who built his following through carefully crafted, historically-themed folk rock over the course of the 1970s. Live Indian Summer, released in 1981 on Arista, captures him in concert drawing from his catalog, including performances of his best-known tracks "Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages," both of which had been substantial hits in the late 1970s. The record reflects his blend of polished pop rock arrangements with acoustic folk sensibilities and his characteristic lyrical storytelling.
