Andrew Lloyd Webber's *The Phantom of the Opera* is the original cast recording of his 1986 London stage production, released in 1987. The double album features Michael Crawford as the Phantom and Sarah Brightman as Christine, with the score composed by Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart. It includes well-known numbers such as "The Music of the Night" and the title track, which became one of the most recognizable pieces from any stage musical of its era. The show itself went on to become one of the longest-running musicals in Broadway history.
