Murray had become one of the most successful crossover artists of the 1970s, moving comfortably between country and adult contemporary pop. The album collects highlights from that decade including "Snowbird," which made her the first Canadian female solo artist to earn a gold record in the US, and her 1978 hit "You Needed Me."
