Arcadia was a side project formed in 1985 by three members of Duran Duran — Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor — and So Red the Rose was their only studio album, released that same year on Capitol Records. The record leans into atmospheric synth-pop and art rock, with lush, orchestrated production that sits closer to the experimental end of the Duran Duran spectrum. "Election Day" was the standout single, reaching the top ten in both the UK and the US, and "The Flame" also received some attention.
