Art Garfunkel's 1977 solo album Watermark is a collection of gentle, orchestrated pop ballads, largely produced by Richard Perry. The album is best known for its cover of Sam Cooke's "(What A) Wonderful World," which became a top ten hit and features Paul Simon and James Taylor on backing vocals. Much of the record draws from the Great American Songbook tradition, with Garfunkel's smooth tenor voice at the center of lush, string-heavy arrangements.
