B.B. King's "Love Me Tender" came out in 1982 on MCA Records and finds the blues legend stepping into smoother, more pop and jazz-oriented territory than his harder blues work. The album is a collection of romantic ballads and standards, leaning heavily on lush orchestral arrangements rather than his trademark electric guitar work. The title track, a cover of the Elvis Presley classic, gives a sense of the direction throughout.
