Biddu Orchestra's *Blue-Eyed Soul* is a 1975 release from British-Indian producer Biddu, known for his work orchestrating lush, funk-inflected pop and disco records during the mid-seventies. The album blends soul, jazz, funk, and early disco into a smooth, heavily arranged sound typical of the era's orchestral pop productions. Biddu had found success around this time producing Carl Douglas's "Kung Fu Fighting," and this record reflects that same polished, dance-floor-oriented sensibility.
