Big Audio Dynamite's fifth studio album, *Free*, came out in 1990 on WTG Records. The London group, founded by former Clash guitarist Mick Jones, leaned heavily into electronic dance music here, incorporating Euro house, synth-pop, and rave influences that reflected the sounds taking over UK clubs at the time. The album produced the single "The Globe," which became one of the band's bigger chart successes and gets the most attention from this era of the group's catalog.
