Bill Haley and His Comets were one of the pioneering acts of early rock and roll, and this 1967 Decca compilation pulls together the highlights from their mid-1950s run. The set includes their landmark 1954 recording "Rock Around the Clock," widely considered one of the first rock and roll singles to reach a mainstream pop audience, as well as "Shake, Rattle and Roll" and "See You Later, Alligator." Haley and the Comets blended country swing with rhythm and blues to help define the sound that would become rock and roll.
