Billy Joel's 1978 album 52nd Street was his sixth studio record and the follow-up to The Stranger, continuing in a similar vein of polished pop rock with strong jazz and Latin influences woven throughout. The album features a horn-heavy sound that reflects the jazz clubs of its titular Manhattan street, with tracks ranging from the funky "Big Shot" and the mellow "Honesty" to the Latin-tinged "Rosalinda's Eyes." It won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1980 and was notably the first commercially released CD in history.
