Buck Owens and His Buckaroos' "Roll Out The Red Carpet" came out in 1966 on Capitol Records, during the height of Owens' dominance of the country charts out of Bakersfield, California. The album is a solid example of the Bakersfield Sound, featuring the lean, twangy electric guitar work and driving rhythms that set Owens apart from the smoother Nashville productions of the era. The title track was a number one hit for Owens, and the record reflects the tight, road-hardened chemistry he had developed with the Buckaroos throughout the mid-sixties.
