Buck Owens and his Buckaroos recorded this live album at the Nugget casino in Sparks, Nevada, released in 1972 on Capitol Records. Owens was one of the defining figures of the Bakersfield Sound, the rougher, more twangy alternative to the polished Nashville country of the era. The set captures his energetic live show, running through his catalog of hard-edged honky-tonk with the tight, electric backing of the Buckaroos. This Canadian pressing documents Owens near the tail end of his commercial peak, before his profile shifted more toward television work with Hee Haw.
