Celi Bee & The Buzzy Bunch was a disco act led by Cuban-born singer Celi Bee, backed by a studio ensemble assembled by producer Henry Stone for his Miami-based T.K. Records operation. Alternating Currents came out in 1978 and sits firmly in the electronic disco and funk-soul territory that T.K. was putting out during that period, with a heavy synthesizer presence running through the tracks. The album is best known for the single "Superman," a synth-driven disco track that made some noise on the dance charts at the time.
