Chalk Circle were a Canadian post-punk and alternative rock band from Ottawa, and Mending Wall is their 1987 full-length debut on Duke Street Records. The album builds on the guitar-driven sound they developed through earlier singles, featuring the brooding, jangly rock they became known for on the Canadian indie scene. The track "Me No No" had notable airplay on Canadian alternative radio at the time.
