Charles Strouse composed the original score for Arthur Penn's 1967 crime film *Bonnie and Clyde*, and this 1968 Canadian release on Warner Bros.-Seven Arts presents that music in full. The soundtrack blends period-appropriate country, folk, and bluegrass influences with orchestral scoring to match the film's Depression-era Midwest setting, and also includes dialogue from the film. Strouse, best known for his Broadway work on *Annie* and *Bye Bye Birdie*, took a notably different direction here with a more rustic, Americana-flavored approach.
