Limbo Party is a 1962 release from Chubby Checker on Parkway Records, the Philadelphia label that helped launch his career. Checker was already a household name thanks to "The Twist," and this album leans into the limbo dance craze that was sweeping the country around the same time. The record is built around novelty dance tracks, with "Limbo Rock" being the standout and best-known song here, a catchy, rhythmically simple number that became a hit in its own right.
