Cliff Barnes and the Fear of Winning were a British indie rock band with a loose country rock and alternative sensibility, and this 1987 release on Happy Valley Records was one of their cult lo-fi efforts from that era. The album blends scrappy guitar rock with twangy, tongue-in-cheek country influences, fitting neatly into the offbeat indie scene of mid-to-late 1980s Britain. This is the German pressing of the record.
