Here's a legitimate deep cut that doesn't surface often, especially in Canadian pressings. Crawler emerged from the ashes of Back Street Crawler, the band Paul Kossoff had formed after leaving Free, though tragically Kossoff passed away before this self-titled effort came to fruition in 1977. The remaining members - including the criminally underrated Terry Wilson-Slesser on vocals and Tony Braunagel behind the kit - crafted what many consider their strongest statement, blending the bluesy hard rock DNA of Free with a more polished, mid-70s arena rock approach.
