David Bowie's "Aladdin Sane" came out in 1973 on RCA Victor, following closely on the heels of "Ziggy Stardust" and finding Bowie pushing further into glam rock territory with a harder, more fractured sound. The album features Mick Ronson's guitar work alongside Mike Garson's striking avant-garde piano, which is especially prominent on the title track. "The Jean Genie" and "Drive-In Saturday" are among the standout cuts, and the record is often seen as a companion piece to its predecessor, documented in part from Bowie's touring experiences in the US and Japan.
