Day of the Animals DVD 1977 Horror DVD
Christopher George and Richard Jaeckel reunited with director William Girdler the year after Grizzly for more Jaws-inspired eco-kill horror. This one even comes complete with an appearance by the shark's first victim, Susan Backlinie, as well as the usual celebrity guest-stars. It's about a group of hikers who get stranded in the mountains on the day that all of nature's creatures decide to revolt. There are attacks by cougars, hawks, and the like, but the gore level is low and it plays like a TV-movie, with several tedious personal subplots thrown in to fill time between attacks.
