Dennis DeYoung (born 1947 in Chicago) is a founding member of the rock band Styx, serving as lead vocalist, keyboardist, and principal songwriter during their peak years. He wrote and sang many of the band’s biggest hits, including “Come Sail Away,” “Babe,” and “The Best of Times.”
Released in 1984, Desert Moon marked DeYoung’s solo debut, blending theatrical rock with introspective ballads. The title track became a Top 10 hit in the U.S. and Canada, showcasing his signature melodic style and emotional delivery.
