Description

Breaking the Chains is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Dokken, released in 1983 by Elektra Records. The Canadian pressing carries catalog number 96 02901 Q, manufactured and distributed by WEA Music of Canada Ltd.

The album was produced by Michael Wagener and recorded at Dierks Studios in West Germany. Mixing was completed at Total Access Studios in California, with digital mastering by Joe Gastwirt at Fantasy Studios.

The lineup on this release includes:

  • Don Dokken – vocals

  • George Lynch – guitar

  • Juan Croucier – bass

  • Mick Brown – drums
