Doug and the Slugs were a Vancouver-based pop rock band led by Doug Bennett, known for their witty, offbeat songwriting and new wave-tinged sound. Music for the Hard of Thinking, released in 1982 on their own Ritdong label, is their third studio album and continues the band's blend of quirky, hook-driven pop rock with a distinctly Canadian sensibility. The album includes "Too Bad," one of their better-known tracks that received solid Canadian radio play during that period.
