Dutch Mason Blues Band's 1981 release on the Attic label, recorded in Canada, is a straightforward electric blues album from one of the most respected figures in Maritime Canadian blues. Dutch Mason, often called the "Father of the Blues in Canada," leads the band through a set of classic blues shuffles and slow burners rooted firmly in the Chicago and Delta traditions. The album captures Mason's gritty guitar work and relaxed, lived-in vocal style that made him a fixture on the East Coast blues scene for decades.
