Here's a pressing that doesn't surface nearly as often as its American counterpart – the 1967 Canadian RCA Victor edition of "The Best Of Eddy Arnold." While Arnold was transitioning from his earlier country roots into the smooth pop balladeer territory that would define his later career, this compilation captures him right at that sweet spot where his vocals had matured into that distinctive crooning style that made him one of RCA's most consistent sellers. The Canadian pressings from this era often used different mastering chains than their US siblings, and many collectors swear by the warmer, less compressed sound quality that came out of RCA's northern operations.
