Edward Bear was a Canadian rock trio from Toronto who released their debut album, Bearings, in 1969 on Capitol Records. The record blends blues rock and psychedelic rock in the style common to the late sixties, with a raw, guitar-driven sound that reflected the band's live energy. Bear would go on to greater commercial success in the early seventies with polished pop hits, making this debut a different and rougher side of the group.
