Ella Fitzgerald's "Mack the Knife: Ella in Berlin" is a live jazz vocal album recorded in 1960 at the Deutschlandhalle in Berlin and released on Verve Records. The recording captures Fitzgerald performing with the Paul Smith Quartet, and is notable for the title track, where she famously forgets the lyrics to "Mack the Knife" and improvises her way through it, turning it into one of the most celebrated moments in jazz history. The album also features a standout rendition of "How High the Moon."
