Brain Salad Surgery is the fourth studio album from English progressive rock trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released in 1973 on their own Manticore label. The record is one of their most ambitious works, blending classical influences, synthesizer-driven arrangements, and complex compositions across side-long pieces and shorter tracks. "Karn Evil 9," a sprawling multi-part suite that takes up much of the album, is the centerpiece, while "Still... You Turn Me On" offers a rare moment of acoustic restraint. The album features cover art by H.R. Giger and stands as a defining entry in 1970s progressive rock.
