Eric Burdon & The Animals were a British rock group fronted by vocalist Eric Burdon, who took over leadership of The Animals following the departure of original members in the mid-1960s. This 1969 MGM compilation draws from the band's later psychedelic and blues-rock period, featuring tracks like "When I Was Young," "San Franciscan Nights," and "Sky Pilot." The collection gives a solid overview of the group's harder-edged, counterculture-leaning sound that distinguished Burdon's lineup from the earlier hit-making Animals of the Hilton Valentine era.
