Fischer-Z was a British new wave band led by singer and guitarist John Watts, and Red Skies Over Paradise is their third studio album, released in 1981. The record sits in post-punk and new wave territory, with angular guitar work and Watts' distinctive, slightly detached vocal style carrying most of the material. The title track received solid airplay at the time and remains the album's most recognized song.
