Released in July 1975, Fleetwood Mac was the band’s tenth studio album and the first to feature Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, whose arrival transformed Fleetwood Mac’s sound and commercial fortunes. The album introduced a blend of soft rock, folk, and California pop that would define the group’s most successful era.

Produced by Keith Olsen and the band, the album was recorded at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California. It includes several enduring tracks: “Rhiannon,” a mystical anthem that became a signature for Nicks; “Say You Love Me,” a Christine McVie-penned hit; and “Landslide,” a reflective acoustic ballad that remains one of the band’s most beloved songs.

The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 more than a year after its release and was certified 5× Platinum in the U.S. It laid the foundation for the massive success of Rumours (1977) and marked the beginning of Fleetwood Mac’s most iconic lineup.
