Here's a Canadian pressing of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" from 1969, marking one of the Chairman's most commercially successful albums during his Reprise Records era. This release came at a fascinating crossroads in Sinatra's career - he was 54, had briefly retired and returned, and was reinventing himself for a new generation while staying true to his big band roots. The title track, adapted from the French song "Comme d'habitude," became perhaps his most iconic recording, though interestingly, Sinatra himself initially had reservations about the song's self-aggrandizing lyrics. The album showcases his mature voice at its most controlled and emotionally resonant, backed by arrangements from the legendary Don Costa.
