Frédéric Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 11, recorded here by pianist Emanuel Ax with Eugene Ormandy conducting, was released on RCA Red Seal in 1981. Despite its designation as "No. 1," it was actually the second of Chopin's two piano concertos to be composed, written in 1830 when he was twenty years old.
