Genesis's sixth studio album with Phil Collins on lead vocals, Invisible Touch came out in 1986 on Atlantic Records and marked the band's most commercially polished direction, leaning heavily into synth-driven pop rock while retaining traces of their progressive roots. The title track reached number one in the US, and "Land of Confusion," featuring its well-known Spitting Image puppet video, was another major hit from the record. The album also includes "Throwing It All Away" and "In Too Deep," both of which charted strongly.
