George Harrison's debut solo album, released in 1970 on Apple Records, is a sprawling triple LP that marked his emergence from the shadow of the Beatles with a massive outpouring of songs he had been stockpiling for years. Produced by Phil Spector, the record blends rock, gospel, and folk influences into a rich, orchestrated sound often referred to as the "Wall of Sound" approach. Standout tracks include "My Sweet Lord," which became a massive hit, and "What Is Life," along with the more reflective title track. The third disc is an informal jam session featuring Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, and other musicians from the sessions.
