George Thorogood & The Destroyers' debut album, released in 1978 on Rounder Records, established the Delaware guitarist as one of the leading figures in the American blues rock revival. The record is a collection of covers drawn from classic electric blues and boogie tradition, featuring Thorogood's raw, slide-heavy guitar work and the band's stripped-down, high-energy approach. The title track, a Hank Williams cover, became closely associated with Thorogood, and the album also includes versions of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" and Elmore James' "Madison Blues."
