Here's a pressing that doesn't surface very often – Glen Campbell's debut album from 1963, pressed by Capitol Records Canada. This was Campbell's first solo effort, released when he was still primarily known as a session musician around the Wichita Lineman days, years before "Gentle on My Mind" and his television stardom would make him a household name. The album showcases Campbell's pure country roots, featuring his crystalline guitar work and that unmistakable voice tackling traditional country material alongside contemporary Nashville fare. What's particularly fascinating here is hearing Campbell before the pop crossover success – this is raw, authentic country music from someone who would later become one of the most successful country-pop artists of all time.
