Gordon Lightfoot's 1978 studio album, released on Warner Bros., finds the Canadian singer-songwriter continuing in his signature folk rock style with acoustic-driven arrangements and his characteristically warm baritone. The album includes "Daylight Katy," which received moderate radio play and stands as one of the more recognizable tracks here. Lightfoot was in his mid-career stride at this point, and the record reflects the polished yet understated sound he had developed through the 1970s.
