Gordon Lightfoot's 1976 album on Reprise Records, recorded during a productive stretch in his career as one of Canada's most respected singer-songwriters. The record blends his signature acoustic folk rock sound with polished mid-70s production, featuring his storytelling style across a set of original compositions. "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," his well-known account of the 1975 Great Lakes shipping disaster, appears here and became one of his biggest hits. "Race Among the Ruins" is another notable track from the album.
