Grin was a rock band led by guitarist Nils Lofgren, who would later find fame as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. All Out was released on Spindizzy Records and draws from a mix of rock, blues rock, and country rock influences typical of the early 1970s American rock scene. The album showcases Lofgren's guitar work and songwriting in a band context before his solo career took off.
