Hamish Imlach was a Scottish folk singer and guitarist who became a well-known figure on the British folk revival circuit from the 1960s onward, recognized for his warm baritone voice and often humorous stage presence. Sonny's Dream, released in 1985 on Lismor Folk, is a straightforward acoustic folk album featuring traditional and contemporary folk material in the Scottish tradition. The title track, "Sonny's Dream," is a Ron Hynes composition that became closely associated with Imlach's repertoire.
