The Hudson Brothers were a trio of actual brothers — Bill, Brett, and Mark Hudson — who had a brief but notable run in the mid-1970s as a pop-rock act with a comedic, variety-show sensibility. Hollywood Situation was their 1974 debut on Casablanca Records, blending polished soft rock and harmony-driven pop with a lighthearted, almost bubblegum energy. The title track got some radio play at the time, and the album reflects the glossy, accessible pop sound that Casablanca was pushing in that era before they went full disco.
